About Treasure Hunts in Forza Horizon 6
Treasure Hunts are one of the most satisfying weekly challenges in the Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist. Each week, the Forza team hides a glowing chest somewhere on the Japan map, and your job is simply to drive over it to collect the reward. The chest is bright and easy to spot once you’re in the right area - it looks a bit like a smashed piñata when you drive through it, which is exactly the moment the challenge ticks off and the points land in your Festival Playlist progress. This particular Treasure is part of the Summer season, one of the four seasons that rotate through the FH6 Festival Playlist cycle.

Head down to the South side of the map where the spaceport is.
Head to the Shoreline on the far East, just next to the sand road. Head North along the beach and you should find the Treasure very close.
That’s it. Once you drive through it, you’re done with the treasure hunt!
Tips and Troubleshooting
A few quick things to keep in mind when hunting any Treasure in FH6:
- Free roam is required. You have to be in normal free roam driving to see the chest - it won’t appear during a race, a Drift Event, or a Horizon Story mission. Backing out of any activity and just cruising is the safe bet.
- It only spawns once the hunt is live. The chest won’t show up until the season actually flips and the Treasure Hunt is unlocked in your Festival Playlist tab. If the area looks empty, double-check the Playlist menu to confirm the hunt is active.
- Reward is automatic. There’s no extra step - once the chest breaks, your Festival Playlist points are added on the spot.
The Nangan Region is a great part of the map to drive around in general, so even if the hunt takes a couple of attempts, the scenery is worth the trip.
