How Treasure Hunts Work in FH6
Treasure Hunts are a weekly Festival Playlist activity in Forza Horizon 6. Each season, a glowing chest is hidden somewhere on the Japan map, and all you have to do is drive into it to collect the reward. There’s no puzzle to solve and no race to win - just locate the chest and roll through it. The Spring Festival Playlist typically features one of these Tokyo-side hunts, and this one is set right in the Tokyo docks, which is one of the most vertical parts of the map. Once the chest breaks, your Festival Playlist points are added on the spot.

This spot is simple to get to. Head to the Docks in the far South-East of Tokyo City.
And find your way to the road just North of the 3 buildings along the shoreline
When you find your way to the road just North of the 3 seaside warehouses, make your way onto the bridge by the Northmost one.
This bridge takes you South onto the middle building where you can turn around, hit a ramp and get onto the North building. From the roof on the South-East point you can drop to the lower layer, smashing the treasure – Otherwise you can launch yourself straight off the edge of the roof and onto the side balcony if you’re travelling around ~120km/h.
This is simple, but make sure to travel slowly on the glass roof, as well as landing on the rail between them - otherwise you’re taking the fast way down into the warehouse!
That’s it. Once you’ve collected it you’re done with the treasure hunt!
Approach Speed and Jumping Tips
The trick to this hunt is the jump onto the side balcony. A few things to keep in mind:
- Approach speed matters. The guide calls for around 120 km/h, which is roughly the sweet spot. Too slow and you’ll drop onto the rail or onto the lower roof; too fast and you’ll fly straight over the balcony and into the warehouse interior. Treat 110-130 km/h as your working range.
- Line up from the South-East corner of the roof. That’s the highest point and gives you the cleanest ramp onto the balcony. Aiming for any other corner usually sends you into the rail or off the wrong side of the building.
- Slow down on the glass roof. The middle building’s glass roof is fragile-looking but it does support your car. Take it easy so you don’t punch through and end up resetting.
- If you miss the jump, you don’t have to restart. Drop back to the South-East corner, line up again, and roll into the jump. There’s no failure state, just a slightly longer route.
If the Treasure Doesn’t Appear
- Confirm the Spring Treasure Hunt is active. The chest only spawns once the Festival Playlist week is live. Open the Playlist menu and check the Treasure Hunt card.
- Make sure you’re in free roam. The chest won’t spawn during a race, a Horizon Story, or a Drift Event.
Once the chest breaks, head to the Festival Playlist tab to confirm your Spring progress. The Tokyo Docks are usually quiet, so this is a good hunt to attempt during off-peak hours if you’re after a clean, uninterrupted run.
