Welcome to the first browser-based Palworld player save data transfer tool!

Move a Palworld character from one existing world save to another. Choose the complete old and new save folders, match the player, then download the patched destination files. Your save data stays in the browser.

This tool moves player data between worlds. To move a complete co-op world to or from a dedicated server, use the Palworld Save Converter .

Missing map discovery or global Palbox progress? Use the LocalData extractor for an Xbox or PC Game Pass wgs folder, or follow the Steam steps below.

Palworld player transfer questions

Where are your world saves?

For Steam: %LocalAppData%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\<SteamID64>\<world_id>. You can find the correct world by clicking the Folder icon in-game when the world is selected in the Start Game section.

For the XBOX/PC Game Pass: %LocalAppData%\Packages\PocketpairInc.Palworld_ad4psfrxyesvt\SystemAppData\wgs. You will need to drag the full folder in, and select a world from within.

Fix missing map discovery or global Palbox progress

LocalData.sav stores map discovery and other client-side progress for one player. The player-transfer ZIP changes the destination world and player files, but the dedicated server does not read LocalData.sav.

For Steam, open %LocalAppData%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\<SteamID64>. Copy LocalData.sav from the source world folder into the destination world folder created for that player. Match the folders by modification time and keep a backup of both files.

For Xbox or PC Game Pass, use the Palworld WGS LocalData Extractor to find the matching world or server-client record. The extractor downloads LocalData.sav for standard Steam or local save storage. It does not write the file back into a Game Pass wgs folder.

Are my Palworld saves uploaded?

No. The browser reads and changes the selected files on your device. The save folders aren’t sent to this website.

Does this move the whole Palworld world?

No. It moves the selected player’s save data and the matching references needed by the destination world. Use the save converter when the complete world is moving between co-op and a dedicated server.

Can I transfer an Xbox or PC Game Pass player?

Yes. Choose the complete wgs folder as Old Save so the tool can find its world and player containers. New Save must currently be a standard world folder containing Level.sav and Players; direct wgs destination writeback isn’t supported.

Does the transfer overwrite my original saves?

No. The browser builds files for you to download. Keep the original old and new world folders until the transferred character loads with the expected inventory, Pals and guild data.

Supported Palworld save folders

Stop Palworld or the dedicated server before copying save files. A running game can write its loaded world over the transferred files when it closes.
