If you have an SSH server on Ubunu or Linux, you should be able to connect to it with something like FileZilla and transfer files over SFTP. Just note this isn’t an FTP server or FTPS (FTP with SSL). This is SFTP (FTP over SSH) and shouldn’t need ports other than your SSH port being open. It’s simple.
