WSL

The Windows Subsystem for Linux is a great tool that allows you (almost) the full power of the Linux shell and an environment to go with it right under Windows. There is virtually no setup required, unlike virtual machines, which also interacts seamlessly with the Windows environment and filesystem! It’s a great tool, especially for those looking to dip their toes into the Linux pool while remaining on Windows.
