This is probably the hardest to sell to sponsors. Those who I speak to in marketing departments love the idea, but it’s challenging to get it up the chain to those who make the decisions.
I genuinely believe that high-quality guides can help sell a brand. Even with a more minor niche topic being covered, if a brand has a tutorial or sponsors the creation of a guide in areas previously unexplored - They have a much better chance of staying in that person’s memory. Think of this. If you’re tearing your hair out trying to figure something niche out, and a brand sponsors the creation of a guide showing you exactly what to do, well, the next time you’re looking for something - That brand comes to mind.
That’s just the first half of it. High-quality video guides are essential in today’s world, where everything is fast. People would much prefer a video guide over reading a long-winded article. I remember having to search for a guide with a popular hardware component. I found an official video from that brand that caught me off guard. However, watching the video lead to something even crazier. I couldn’t understand what was being said. With the volume all the way up, I still couldn’t hear. Not to mention, I couldn’t see what was going on. The video was stuck at 240p. It was utterly worthless – and on an official FAQ page.
The brands shown here stand out among others. They take the time to look into what’s being offered or reach out to me directly. These brands care about expanding their user base even to the far niche of the internet.
